   What is MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers.  the purpose of MOPS is to nurture every mother of children from infant to preschoolers.  MOPS exists for every mom - stay-at-home moms, working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be!

  Where did MOPS begin?

MOPS began with eight women in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.  The meeting took place in February 1973.  The mothers talked, laughed and ate.  Friendships were found, creative outlets were sought and the women began to understand that "mothering matters".

After incorporating in 1981, MOPS once again expanded its boundaries and became MOPS International in 1988.
