Ignition is the middle school ministry at Valley Springs. Our purpose is to provide “spiritual ignition” in the lives of our students. Middle School is one of the most crucial times in our lives. Middle Schoolers are teeming with so much potential, we have to imagine their potential in God’s eyes. They are questioning and redefining everything in their lives, including their concept of God. Ignition wants to upgrade their experience accordingly – in worship, scripture, and genuine friendship. Ignition's goal is that Middle Schoolers would take ownership of their relationship with God. Ultimately for them to say as King David did in Psalm 16:2, “I said to the Lord, You are my Lord.”

Ignition Sunday - Rise and shine with music, games, Bible lessons and friendships! Join with middle school students to worship, play games, build new friendships, and listen to challenging messages aimed at strengthening our walk with the Lord. Meets Sunday mornings at 9:00am in the Underground Youth Room.

Core Group Discipleship - Grow in God’s word and in relationships with each other. Meets Wednesdays in the Sanctuary from 7-8:30pm during the school year.

Activities - Beach Retreat, Hume Lake Summer and Winter Camps, Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt, Xtremz, Talent Show, Pool Parties, Summerfest and more!

Serve - Experience the joy of serving others through various opportunities like the Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt and other random acts of kindness.

Outreach - Events designed to expose friends to God: Sunday mornings, campus clubs, concerts, retreats and much more.

iServers - iServers are Ignition’s committed group of students who meet twice a month to plan and pray over the ministry of Ignition.

Summer Pool Parties - Hey! Do you like to swim in water? We just happen to have a bunch of water and a bunch of pools! Add a bunch of middle schoolers, throw in some interns, youth leaders, and parents... and we've got pool parties! Most Wednesdays throughout the summer! Pick up a flyer with all the info you and your dolphin buddies will need!
