Kids at Valley Springs
By combining instruction, fellowship, and service, we seek to provide a context in which kids can grow spiritually and thrive as part of our Valley Springs family and the worldwide body of Christ.
We are using The Gospel Project for Kids, which immerses kids in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project for Kids, kids will understand the Bible as not just a collection of stories, but one unified story -- God's story of redemption. We observe the liturgical calendar by focusing on corresponding passages for the following: Advent Season, Epiphany Sunday, Transfiguration Sunday, Palm Sunday, Easter, Ascension Sunday, and Pentecost Sunday.
9am, Kids Place
Kids in Grades 1-5 get to worship with their parents and the rest of our Valley Springs family each Sunday before being dismissed to Kids Place, where they enjoy a gospel-centered lesson, a craft opportunity, and free-choice games and activities that encourage the building of relationships.
10:45am, Kids Place
Kids get to worship with their parents and the rest of our Valley Springs family each Sunday before being dismissed to Kids Place. During the second service, kids have the opportunity to serve others through our Hearts & Hands for Missions sewing outreach program. We also have special guests from the congregation or the local community share their experiences in missions, their vocations, or unique skills or abilities that God has given them.
In conjunction with Advent and Holy Week, and other times chosen by our Director of Worship and Arts, kids get to rehearse musical and/or dramatic selections and present them in front of our church family.
