Space Mission: an exploration of Genesis 1-3

Get ready to blast off with Valley Springs for a 4-day Space Mission!

We'll look at God's truth revealed at the very beginning of the Bible: God is the Creator, we are His image bearers, and God is our Redeemer.

Kids aged 4 through rising 8th graders are invited! There are separate tracks for our youngest friends, as well as for middle school students. See below for details.

Registration open May 1 - June 30

TK-KINDERGARTEN

This track is for kids aged 4 who are fully potty-trained through those who are starting Kindergarten this fall.

On July 8-10, check-in starts at 9:00 AM, the program starts at 9:30 AM, and checkout is at 11:30. Everyone is invited to stay for lunch each day from 11:30-12:00.

On our three program days, we will assemble as a large group at Mission Control, and then split into squadrons for Space Academy (Bible lesson), Gear Up (crafts), Fuel Up (snacks), and Big Art in our preschool room (Discoveryland).

For Big Art, we'll decorate T-shirts, create life-sized images, and do some fun outdoor art projects.

On Saturday the 11th, everyone is invited out back from 11:00 to 1:00! We'll have a cookout and share some of what God has done during our Space Mission.

1ST TO 5TH GRADE

This track is for kids who have completed Kindergarten through 4th grade by July 1st.

On July 8-10, check-in starts at 9:00 AM, the program starts at 9:30 AM, and checkout is at 11:30. Everyone is invited to stay for lunch each day from 11:30-12:00.

This track follows the same schedule as our TK/K squdron, but instead of Big Art, they will do Big Fun.

Big Fun is our daily outdoor activity! Wednesday: Color Run to make our shirts; Thursday: Water Games to beat the heat; Friday: Spaceship Wars in homemade spacecrafts.

On Saturday the 11th, everyone is invited out back from 11:00 to 1:00! We'll have a cookout and share some of what God has done during our Space Mission.

middle school

This track is for those who have completed 5th through 7th grade by July 1st. (If you are a Valley Springs attender in high school, you can register as a volunteer.)

On July 8-10, check-in starts at 9:00 AM, the program starts at 9:30 AM, and checkout is at 11:30. Everyone is invited to stay for lunch each day from 11:30-12:00.

This squadron starts and ends each morning in Mission Control. But the biggest part of the day will be with Pastor Tag, learning the principles of Observation, Interpretation, and Application in Bible study.

Middle schoolers will still have their time for Big Fun: Color Run, Water Games, and Spaceship Wars.

On Saturday the 11th, everyone is invited out back from 11:00 to 1:00! We'll have a cookout and share some of what God has done during our Space Mission.

Valley Springs PCA at 2401 Olympus Drive in Roseville. We'll be in the Worship Room, the Chapel, Discoveryland, and outside... although it might look a little different than it usually does!

July 8-10 from 9:30 to 12:00 - Check-in starts at 9:00 AM, checkout at 11:30 AM, then stay for lunch.

July 11 from 11:00 to 1:00 - Mission Complete: Celebration - The whole family is invited!

Kids age 4 through those who have completed 7th grade by July 1st (rising 8th graders). There are modified schedules and content for kids ages 4-5, as well as for rising 6th-8th graders.

Registration is $25 per child. This fee helps cover snacks and lunches, as well as each child's shirts and crafts.

We'll be looking at Genesis chapters 1-3 to learn about God as Creator, we as image bearers, and God as Redeemer.

Here is a general schedule for the mornings of July 8-10 (subject to change based on registration):

As directed by our Children's Ministry policy, we will have two background-cleared and trained unrelated adults with each squadron, as well as additional adults in each station (Bible, crafts, Big Fun). Members of our staff and security team will be onsite to provide assistance if needed. All kids will be checked in and out through our system that provides parents with a security code unique to their children.

Your children's safety is our top priority. If you have additional concerns or needs, please contact Gina Tuck at gina@valleysprings.org.

Absolutely! We need help in a variety of roles for a range of time commitments. Whether you can help set up the week before, pop in just one day for a half hour, or be on site all three days for the whole morning, there's a spot for you to serve. Please register as a volunteer, and you'll receive more details and options from Gina Tuck.

Feel to contact Gina Tuck at gina@valleysprings.org.

Registration open May 1 - June 30
